General Information:

EXOCOAT^TM SH is a sol-gel-based sphere technology. It can be used to produce superhydrophobic coatings with extreme water exclusion properties.

Description and Application:

EXOCOAT^TM SH is a unique 1K superhydrophobic sol-gel system that when formulated in water can be applied on mineral substrates as concrete, pavement, wall and stucco to get the so-called Lotus Effect. This effect is exemplified by a nearly invisible coating that has extreme repellence to water and aqueous solutions. With the contact angle of 140° water droplets bounce back from the surface and will roll down immediately upon touch.  As a result, the wall remains dry, clean and will behave as efficient barrier  against water. It will not form a film and as a result the substrate stays breathable.

Procedure to use EXOCOAT™ SH

• Dilute EXOCOAT^TM SH 1:10 with water

• Spray, brush or roll the product on the substrate

• Let it dry at room temperature for a day
